Student turned climate entrepreneur
In the future, we will shower with soap in tablet form. Luleå student Tommie Lögdahl won SEK 250,000 for his new sustainability concept Nowa Drops.
- It feels fantastic to get recognition for something that you have created all by yourself and then get a start-up capital to realize the product. My passion has always been to develop products that improve both people and the environment," says Tommie Lögdahl.
Climate entrepreneur
His idea Nowa Drops is about developing a tablet that converts tap water into liquid soap. The goal is to reduce global emissions by streamlining the transportation of liquid hygiene products.
- We want to make it easy for people to live more sustainably. With Nowa Drops, we reduce plastic waste by reusing packaging. Recycling is good, but reuse is much better for the climate," says Tommie Lögdahl.
There have always been entrepreneurs in the family and Tommie says that he himself has had a dream of developing his own ideas for a long time. So what started as an app for charitable donations evolved into an idea to create a product that reduces our plastic consumption.
