Enrolment
To retain your place on the program you have been accepted to, you must register for the program.
Distance version: Registration takes place online on Ladok the 31st of August.
Campus version: On the 31st of August at 10:15 we welcome all new students in Forumsalen. After that registration takes place at the LTU service desk.
The registration is the basis for receiving LTU-card, accessing the course platform Canvas and for writing exams.

Schedule
Select Course/Program in the Search field. Enter course code, e.g., D7076E. Set end date to October 31. Search, then click on the course code in the box Results. It will now appear under My criteria. Repeat for your other course. Click on Show schedule

The literature for the course is given in the course syllabus and you will find it in the link above ‘Courses quarter 1’. Please note that the course literature can be changed up to 10 weeks before the course starts.
More information about the programme
The university's pedagogical principles guide our teaching. These principles support high-quality teaching and create a safe learning environment. For example, our students become important teaching resources for each other, with engaged teachers available and open to in-depth dialogues. The university's pedagogical idea is based on active learning, where students' learning processes contribute to solid subject knowledge alongside personal development, i.e., skills and abilities that lay the foundation for both employability and lifelong learning.
Our programs are built on a solid foundation in central subjects such as computer and cloud security, practical applications as IoT/OT security, and modern advanced technologies. The master’s program in Cybersecurity provides good opportunities for students to deepen their knowledge in various subjects through elective and project courses. We develop and offer commissioned education in the subject, but also with a broader perspective, such as cybersecurity culture.
We are an engaged partner in the strategic collaboration Campus Total Defense, along with several other Swedish institutions. Campus Total Defense brings together academia, authorities, and industry to create an education, research, and innovation platform. The strong connection between research and education is important and applied practically within our courses and programs.

Master Programme in Cyber Security - Canvas
At Luleå University of Technology, we use Canvas as our Learning Management System (LMS). You can access some information in the open part of the Canvas course room; additional information becomes available once you are formally registered with us.

Arrival and Orientation Week:
Social orientation activities start on the 20th of August and will be arranged by Studentföreningen Campus Skellefteå. You can find more information here. We recommend that you arrive in Skellefteå a few days before. The Skellefteå Campus Welcome Ceremony will take place in Forumsalen at 9:30am on the 20th of August.
If you would like to partake in information from ESN Luleå (regarding ESN trips), you should let us know here: Campus Skellefteå: ESN Luleå Whatsapp group 2026 – Fill out form (please note, if you are a non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizen, you need to first receive your residence permit before submitting the form.) ESN Luleå will monitor a Whatsapp group just for international students at Campus Skellefteå.
Deadline to submit the form is the 14th of August.
Academic Workshop
There is an Academic Workshop session just for all international master/bachelor students -- it is via Zoom. During the workshop, we will show you the LTU admin system and provide you with very important information as to your studies. This academic workshop is beneficial for students studying both on campus and via distance education.

Welcome Meeting
For students at Campus Skellefteå, you are invited to participate in the overarching Welcome Meeting (from Campus Luleå) on the 24th of August at 8:30am via Zoom: https://ltu-se.zoom.us/j/65845581762
Please keep in mind, however, that most of the information will not be very relevant for you, and it is not mandatory for you to attend this meeting.
During the Welcome Meeting, you will receive presentations from various important organisations and people from Campus Luleå – including a formal welcome by our Deputy Vice-Chancellor.
LTU ID Cards
Each programme has its specifically designated time for LTU ID cards in the schedule (TimeEdit). If you are an EU/EEA/Swiss citizen, your national ID card will suffice (for Swedish citizens, your Swedish driver’s license will also suffice).
Swedish 1 (S0046P):
If you are a student of non-Scandinavian background, you have the possibility to enrol yourself into Swedish 1 (S0046P) (3 ECTS). Please note, S0046P in Skellefteå is only provided via Zoom. If you are fee-paying student, this course fee will be covered by LTU. In late July/early August, you will receive a separate email for signing up to the course.
Last but definitely not least – on the 28th of August, we will be going on a joint 3-Campuses one day trip to Storforsen. The trip is free of charge and sign up information will be sent out in a separate email in August. We know that some of you may have your parents or family members present during this time, and of course, they are welcome to join as well – just let us know in advance that they will be coming too so we can instruct you accordingly re registration. We will do our best to accommodate everyone, however, we cannot make guarantees.
