The Nolle-period

The purpose of the Nolle period (zero period) is to make you feel welcome and safe at the university and in your class. And, of course, to give you a fun start to your studies.

Starting university is like starting a new chapter in your life. At Luleå University of Technology, you have the opportunity to make friends, contacts with the business community, get involved in student life and learn a lot about the education you have chosen to study.

The nolleperiod is the first time before the start of studies where you as a new student are welcomed to your campus location at Luleå University of Technology. During these 12 days, the schedule will be filled with activities and lectures that will introduce you to all aspects of student life and prepare you for the start of your studies. The Nolleperiod is organized in collaboration between Teknologkåren, Luleå Student Union and Luleå University of Technology. No pre-registration is required, just show up and have fun together!

During the Nolleperiod there is a voluntary role play. Within the role play, there are some concepts that you as a new student will encounter, these are Nolla, Phösare, Adeln and Överphösarna.
