Important: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is Being Implemented for Students

To enhance the security of your account, Luleå University of Technology is now implementing mandatory multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all students. This will initially apply to Office 365 services.

What does MFA mean? It means that in addition to your regular password, you will need to confirm your identity with a second method – most commonly via an app on your mobile phone (Authenticator), or a physical security key. This makes it significantly harder for unauthorized individuals to access your accounts, even if they were to obtain your password.
