What the Student Health Service offers
The Student Health Service offers groups, lectures and other health-related activities. All activities are free of charge.
Below is a selection of our recurring activities. You can sign up for any of the activities listed below even if they are not currently on the calendar. In that case, send an email to kursstudenthalsa@ltu.se. You can also email there if you have suggestions for other activities you think Student Health should organize.

Week of light
During the darkest season, we light up with uplifting activities during Light Week.
Winter festival
Outdoor activities with focus on physical health and social togetherness.
Health fair
In October there is a mini fair with various exhibitors in the health sector. Come and be inspired by and ask questions to our exhibitors.
September challenge with Student Health - Run/Walk streak
Start the semester with a challenge where you will run for a short time every day for 21 days, a so-called run streak. This takes place throughout September.
Pop-up
During the year, the Student Health Service pop up at different places on campus with activities related to various health areas. This can include, for example, afternoon tea, crafts, and information.

The Student Health Service regularly give lectures on health and study techniques. Below are some recurring topics.
Study smart
Welcome to a meeting where you get tips and advice on study strategies that help you study smart.

Lecture on alcohol habits and student life
This is a lecture about student life in relation to alcohol habits. It will cover things like how alcohol affects you, what is "moderate" drinking, how do I get comfortable in situations where the norm is to drink but I want to be sober, and what can I do if I'm worried about myself or someone else's drinking habits?
Groups
Plan and study together
Studying alone can be tough. Therefore, Student Health offers a recurring study hour where you get structure, focus, and company. Once a week, you can plan your studies, work focused, and meet others who also want to get things done. A simple opportunity to create routines and make progress in a calm environment. Staff from Student Health will be present. Perfect for you who need a push in the right direction. Come as you are.
Cross-country skiing school
For those who have rarely or never stood on cross-country skis and want to learn the basics to be able to start skiing. You bring your own skiing equipment. If you do not have your own, borrow from a friend or from Fritidsbanken located at Porsöhallen.
The skiing school is located on the ski trails at Heden, campus Porsön.
Health profile
Take care of your health and book a health profile with a health counsellor and find out about your lifestyle and what you can do to improve your health.
A healthy lifestyle contributes to more meaningful leisure time and a healthier student life. A health profile is designed to motivate and provide insight into lifestyle changes.
This is included:
- Questions about lifestyle and health
- Conversations focusing on current situation and change
- A personal health account where you can see your results.
