Accessible Course Literature

If you have a disability that makes it difficult to read printed text, you can get access to Legimus. There you can borrow or download accessible course literature, such as audiobooks and e-text.

Who is eligible for Legimus?

To get access, you need an account in Legimus. The Swedish Agency for Accessible Media, MTM, decides whether you are eligible for an account. Contact the University Library to apply.

In Legimus, you can search for your course literature. If a compulsory course textbook is not available in Legimus, the University Library can request that it be recorded for you. If MTM decides to produce the recording, it will take approximately 8–12 weeks before it becomes available.

Submitting a request does not guarantee that the book will be made available in Legimus. If MTM decides not to record the book, you may submit a purchase suggestion to the University Library.

Programs and apps

You can download the reading software EasyReader from Legimus once you have an account. The program is free. You can also download the Legimus app from the App Store or Google Play.
