The course is available either as an advanced level 1,5 credit course or as a massive open online course (MOOC).

For Advanced Level Course
In addition to self-studies in the MOOC, students are also required to:
Attend three online meetings, 1 hour, 30 minutes per meeting.
Pass quizzes and assignments
Complete a final report.

What do you learn?
In Hydrogen Jet Flames and Hydrogen Explosions, you will learn how hydrogen behaves when it leaks, ignites, and burns, including key concepts such as under-expanded jets, spontaneous ignition mechanisms, deflagrations, detonations, and DDT. You will also explore how hydrogen jet flames form, how long they can extend, and what hazards they pose. This course provides essential knowledge for anyone working with hydrogen systems, infrastructure planning, or safety engineering.

The course is for anyone who is curious to know more about hydrogen safety. Basic or foundational knowledge of hydrogen is required.
