SPORTC och vinter-OS 2026
Inför vinter-OS i Milano Cortina 2026 bidrog Centrum för idrotts- och prestationsteknologi vid Luleå tekniska universitet med forskning inom flera centrala områden för olympisk vinteridrott.
Sedan OS i Beijing har SPORTC i samarbete med forskare från ett flertal europeiska länder samt USA arbetat med forskning som speglar den aktuella kunskapsutvecklingen inför OS i Milano-Cortina.
Artiklarna behandlar bland annat teknik på snö och is, uthållighetsträning, prestationsoptimering, kognitiv neurovetenskap, idrottsmedicin samt framtida forskningsinriktningar inom alpina och isbaserade grenar.
SPORTC:s arbete sker i nära samverkan med Sveriges Olympiska Kommitté, specialidrottsförbund och elitidrottsmiljöer, där forskningen kopplas till praktisk prestationsutveckling.
Forskningen har även uppmärksammats i nationella medier i samband med OS-förberedelserna.
