A special VIP evening for students at Luleå University of Technology about the green transition attracted great interest and commitment. 150 students had come to meet several of Luleå University of Technology's researchers and PhD students and the leading-edge companies in the industrial green transition in Sweden.
In the autumn of 2022, a new distance course in political science with a focus on environmental and climate policy will start at Luleå University of Technology. The need for future competence in the field is great and several teachers in the new focus course are among the foremost researchers in environmental policy in Sweden.
In autumn 2022, Luleå University of Technology launches three new programmes in technology and engineering and a new bachelor’s programme with specialisation in sustainability. All programmes involve close collaboration with industry, branches and companies already from the first year. Examples are actors within the green transition, in which the University plays a key role for the future skills supply.
With the huge investments in northern Sweden comes a great need to recruit staff. MindDig, a new talent recruitment platform, has been launched to create a national and international interest in job opportunities and development in the north.
