Luleå researchers writers in Biographical Dictionary of Swedish Women

Published: 7 March 2018

Why are there so few women artists, philosophers, scientists, politicians, and authors? Or is this idea more based on inadequate documentation of women's actions? One important reason is that the writing of history is based on existing biographical dictionaries, where the principle of selection is gender-biased, and women are therefore underrepresented. Now, these, to our history so significant women, get a new chance through a special on-line Biographical Dictionary of Swedish Women (SWO).

Swedish female biographical dictionary, managed by SWE-CLARIN and will be launched on Thursday, March 8th. 15.00 . Then you can read more in this article about the contribution from our writers.
