Visit at Sichuan University in Chengdu, China

Math Bollen, Chair Professor in Electric Power Engineering, recently paid a two-day visit to our sister group at Sichuan university in Chengdu, China.

During the first day, prof. Bollen gave three presentations about recent work on-going at Luleå University of Technology on power quality and the Chengdu-side presented seven on-going PhD and MSc projects on power quality. The following presentations were given by prof. Bollen

  • Wind power and the power system

During the presentation at The University of Hong Kong

The second day, a visit was made to a 2000 MW HVDC converter station operated by China State Grid. Both days of the visit gave sufficient material for several joint research activities.

One week earlier, he visited The University of Hong Kong, where he gave a presentation about “power quality in the age of the smart grid”.
