Prince Daniel will inspire students

Published: 16 September 2016

On October 13 a royal splendor will spread across campus in Skellefteå. Students at Luleå University of Technology will have the opportunity to talk to Prince Daniel about entrepreneurship.

Besides Prince Daniel, there are more business leaders attending the event; Gunilla von Platen, Filip Engelbert and Alan Mamedi. The entrepreneurs are complemented by financier Carl Bennet and Emilia Lindmark from Sammes stiftelse.

The event consists of two parts, first a moderated dialogue in Forumsalen where the Prince and the entrepreneurs talk about their experiences of starting and running a business. Moderator is the radio profile Leo Razzak. Then follows a round table discussion with selected students.

Robert Brännström is contact person for the Luleå University of Technology in Skellefteå. He says that the university already has a strong profile of entrepreneurship and in combination with startup entrepreneurship, is an increasingly important element in career planning for students.

– If you have thoughts and ideas about entrepreneurship, the round table discussion is a great opportunity. Students will discuss with experienced entrepreneurs who have many years of experience in the business world, says Robert Brännström.

The visit to Skellefteå takes place within the framework of Prince Daniel Fellowship. Prince Daniel Fellowship is a partnership between Prince Daniel, IVA, and prominent entrepreneurs and business leaders. The project, launched in 2013, is to contribute to a more favorable culture of entrepreneurship and a more permissive attitude towards risk and failure.
