Published: 13 June 2014

Sammes foundation gives students in Skellefteå the opportunity to work during the summer with their own business ideas. Twelve students have received scholarships as summer entrepreneurs. These are students in computer game development, computer graphics, Set design and prop making and master students in Wood technology.

Many projects are still secret. Victor Grubii, master's student in Wood Technology from Romania gives us a hint about his project.

- My project is about wood kayaks crafting. The idea is to build affordable wooden kayaks for river/lake/sea paddling. I must use my knowledge in wood technology and other materials in order to make the process profitable. I got the Sammes summer scolarship for building first prototype and simultaneously conduct market research on customer requirements.
