A state employee is the extended arm of the Riksdag and the government. Anyone who works at an authority should be aware that the citizens of Sweden, via the Riksdag and the government, are clients and that the activities are financed with tax revenue.

Within the state you get good conditions for working hours, holidays and pensions.

The project works state

Working government is run as a strategic project within the Employers Agency and is part of the strategy for the state employers. The project started in January 2016 and is expected to last at least until 2020. The goal is to profile the state as an attractive employer by building up a strong employer brand. Through the project, the employers' agency wants to contribute to increasing the knowledge of state jobs and arouse curiosity and interest in the challenges that exist, but also break the myths by addressing them with facts.
