The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R)
Luleå University of Technology is applying for the European Commission acknowledgement HR Excellence in Research.
This acknowledgement conveys the Luleå University of Technology as a provider of a stimulating and favorable work environment. It also conveys the University`s commitment to fair and transparent recruitment and appraisal procedures and to their continuous development.
The acknowledgement HR Excellence in Research is the outcome of taking part in the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers process (HRS4R), an EURAXESS Rights initiative by the European Commission. Luleå University of Technology has signed an agreement with the European research network EURAXESS.
The HRS4R Process at the Luleå University of Technology
The European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (Charter & Code) provide recommendations and good practice guidelines for the employment and recruitment of researchers.
The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (hereafter HRS4R) is a tool provided by the European Commission. With its help, Luleå University of Technology has adopted the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers as a part of the development processes of the researchers’ contracts, careers and the work environment.
The HRS4R process is outlined below.
Luleå University of Technology has proceeded with the first two steps of the HRS4R process and is applying for the European Commission acknowledgement "HR Excellence in Research". The further development at the university continues according to the Action Plan.
The HRS4R work at Luleå University of Technology is directed by a Working Group, which is chaired by the Deputy Vice Chancellor. From the beginning, the group wanted to integrate HRS4R work as a part of the work and development of HR operations at the university.
