There were many web and app solutions for logistics and project management in the range of the eleven different teams innovations, but also some pure inventions with elaborate prototypes. There was also an idea to challenge local government monopoly on garbage disposal, which was appreciated by the jury. The winning team MinimalAIR had a telescopic solution for vent pipes to facilitate both the storage, transport and assembly.
– In the field of ventilation, it has been pretty thin with fresh ideas and new innovations for many years, said juror Erik Lindbäck from the family business Lindbäcks Build in Piteå.
In second place was the group with the company name Click façade with a vision of faster and cheaper replacements of facades of houses. In third place came WorkApp with a logistical support system for project manager at construction sites.
During the work in this course, the students have been supported by, among others, Lisa Braafnäs, business developer at LTU Business.
- We asked, among other things, the question "if you would do this for real, how would you do it?" to the students. It is important that they think business-like and realistic, as if they would actually take their ideas further after the course. Students have interesting ideas and I hope that some of them continue pushing their ideas forward through commercialization system at the university, says Lisa Braafnäs.
The students who participated read on engineering programs Architecture and Civil Engineering. The jury consisted of Pär Johansson - LTU Business AB, Erik Lindbäck - Lindbäcks Construction and Henrik Johnsson - BoKlok. It was the fifth year that this structure for the course Industrial construction was used.
