Introducing myself
I hold a PhD, am a lecturer in Physiotherapy and works as a teacher and researcher at Luleå University of Technology. I teach at Hälsovägledarprogrammet that provides a bachelor's degree in health promotion. I have been an elite swimmer and still has a great commitment in sports, where among other things I have been a physiotherapist for the Swedish national team and the Swedish team for the Olympic Games in Sydney and Athens.
Together with my colleague Catrine Kostenius I have written the book "Health Guidance - from words and thought to action" which is used as a textbook including the hälsovägledarprogrammet.

Presentation of my research
I received a doctorate in physical therapy in 2015 with the thesis "Promoting adolescents' physical activity @ school". The area of children' physical activity include interventions by means of empowerment and gamification to promote physical activity and ultimately affect their health and cognitive ability. Together with Stina Rutberg, I am conducting a pilot project on children's active school transport, where we put extra focus on the parents' attitudes to this.
