Eight graders from Norrbotten competed in technology

On Thursday, around 150 eight graders from Arjeplog, Boden, Luleå, Jokkmokk and Kiruna came to Luleå University of Technology to participate in the competition Teknikjakten.

In teknikjakten, students compete in teams and solve tasks in the fields of science, engineering and mathematics. The purpose of the competiition is to increase interest in science, to show that technology is fun, and to show that cooperation is important for solving tasks. Students from Luleå University of Technology guided the eight graders and cheered for their teams during the day. The event was organized by the universitety together with Teknikens hus.

The final competition rounds were conducted in the university's atrium, where the winners would later be annonced.
