– It will be very exciting to hear the students now that they have finished half of their education. This is musicians at a very high level so I recommend anyone who has the opportunity to visit one of the concerts, says Sven-Erik Sandlund, lecturer in flute at Luleå University of Technology.

Talented musicians from around the world

International Orchestra Academy is a new training at the University in collaboration with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra / Stockholm Concert Hall and is based in Stockholm. The course is aimed at young very talented musicians from around the world.

– Everything works very well and I can not imagine a better environment than the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra for these young musicians to develop in, says Sven-Erik Sandlund and says that the ten students are looking forward to playing in Norrbotten.

– Most students do not come from Sweden and has never been in Norrbotten before so this will certainly be a bit exotic for them. They have rehearsed a repertoire during the spring and I can promise everyone very fine concerts.
