Scholarship for space students

Space students Sofia Bergman and Daniel Huamani-Törvik has been awarded the Bengt Hultqvist stipendium from Kiruna Rotary Club. – It feels great, says Sofia Bergman.

– I've spent a lot of time and energy on studying. Therefore, this scholarship feels extra rewarding, continues Sofia Bergman who is a student at the Master Programme in Space Engineering at Luleå University of Technology.

What motivates you?

– My interest in space and the desire to learn more is obviously a great motivator. And to perform well in school has always been important to me.

With what do you want to work in the future?

– My goal is to get a PhD position. In the future, I really want to contribute to space research in the world.

Also Daniel Huamani-Törvik is a student at the Master Programme in Space Engineering. The two students get the scholarship for their good grades and great commitment in educational related activities at Space Campus in Kiruna.

The Bengt Hultqvist stipendium is awarded by the Kiruna Rotary Club. The purpose of the scholarship is to annually recognize and reward one or two students at Luleå University of Technology's space programmes. The scholarship aims to be an instrument to encourage space student's engagement and aspirations, and amongst others allow international exchange.
