Published: 3 June 2016

There were three very happy and surprised students at Luleå University of Technology who received Rune Andersson scholarship for studies abroad. All reading the the Master Programme in Industrial and Management engineering. This autumn, they will study in South Korea with a scholarship that makes it possible to also look around in the country.

- It's a real great honor to receive this scholarship, I appreciate it so much, , says Lovisa Ingvarsson.

It was Birgitta Bergvall–Kåreborn, Pro Vice- Chancellor at Luleå University of Technology, who handed out the scholarship to the three students who already after the summer go for studies in South Korea. The money, 40 000 swedish crowns per student, gives the students a completely different economic opportunity to experience the country and its culture and Birgitta Bergvall - Kåreborn reminded the students to use the study abroad, to also establish important contacts for the future. The scholarships, mean a huge difference for the students. Now they will not have to turn every penny. They were sincerely happy, surprised and grateful that they received the scholarship and are looking forward to the semester abroad.

- It feels as if we now have a totally different opportunity to experience the country's culture and do things to enrich oneself and for one´s future, says Emil Waldenborg.
