You will learn:

  • Use Java as the programming language
  • The scientific basis for object-oriented programming and design in Java
  • Create, analyze and evaluate technical solutions in the form of design and implementation of large computer programs
  • Plan and execute qualified tasks in Java

The course includes: Classes and objects, Encapsulation of methods and data structures, Shading, Inheritance hierarchies, types, static and dynamic typing, Modularization with abstract data types, Program design with UML, Containers, Design and calculation patterns, Graphic user interfaces, Documentation environment, Program development .

Arrangement

The 7.5 credit course is compressed into 6 training days with your own work in between. The teaching takes place in the form of lessons and laboratory work. Participants are assumed to have basic programming skills.

Teacher

Josef Hallberg is an assistant professor of distributed computer systems at Luleå University of Technology and has more than 15 years of experience teaching both programming and software technology. With the help of references to relevant practice, own experiences and active discussions, Josef Hallberg guides the participants through theoretical and practical teaching in object-oriented programming in Java.
