Justina – woman, life, freedom

24 Nov. 2022, 19:00 - 21:00
Piteå, Studio Acusticum
Published: 10 November 2022

Piteå has been a HR municipality (Human Rights) for a few years and also a haven for persecuted artists. Justina – rap artist and activist – came to Piteå as a sanctuary artist in 2020. This evening is about Iran, Sweden, gender and freedom of expression.

In Iran, women are not allowed to sing or perform. We talk to Justina about the protests going on in Iran, about the role of women and men and others, about what happens when free speech is banned. Justina will also perform several of her songs. During the evening, Karin Hansson, national coordinator of Sweden's cities of refuge, also talks about ICORN's (International Cities of Refuge Network) successful work worldwide.
Welcome to an informative, touching and very topical event in Studio Acusticum. Free entrance.
