In our stressed society, we have different methods for people to relax and unwind. Research has shown that animals and nature are effective unwinders, and that those who spend time in nature have a greater sense of good health. Päivi Juuso is a researcher at Luleå University of Technology and leads a project that focuses on the importance of nature for health. In the project, they are investigating how the resources will be sufficient to promote health and counteract the ill-health of the people of Norrbotten.

Päivi Juuso (district nurse) is associate professor and researcher on health and digitalization issues. Päivi is the project leader in the Nordic NaBs project, which works with sustainable solutions where entrepreneurs in the natural resource industry can act as a resource in the region and where public activities can offer nature-supported rehabilitation to promote health and prevent ill-health. In other words: how can nature support our health?

The lecture is open to the public and no pre-registration is required.
