Work-related data from Google Drive to OneDrive

A guide for you who have work-related data in Google Drive and need to move it to OneDrive - ltu.se. Choose guide below depending on whether you have a managed computer or not.

For you who has a managed computer and are already logged in to OneDrive

  1. Open drive.google.com, click Open Drive. Enter username@ltu.se as email address, click Next .
  2. If you are not logged in automatically, log in with your LTU user.
  3. Select all your work-related information in Drive, right-click and then select Download.
  4. Once the files have been compressed into a downloadable ZIP file, select Save as at the bottom of the screen and save the ZIP file on your desktop.
  5. Open File Explorer on your Windows 10 computer and then open your OneDrive - ltu.se folder.
  6. Open the ZIP file on your desktop that you just downloaded from Google Drive, select all the files and drag them to your OneDrive folder.
  7. When you are done with the above. Select all the files in your Google Drive that you have now moved and delete them. If you do not clear the information from Google Drive, you will receive an automatic copy of your information.

Files will now be uploaded and synchronized to OneDrive - ltu.se, this is indicated by green boxes.

 

For those of you who do not have a managed computer and are not logged in to OneDrive

  1. Open drive.google.com, click Open Drive. Enter username@ltu.se as email address, click Next .
  2. If you are not logged in automatically, log in with your LTU user.
  3. Select all your work-related information in Drive, right-click and then select Download.
  4. Once the files have been compressed into a downloadable ZIP file, select Save as at the bottom of the screen and save the ZIP file to the desktop.
  5. Click the OneDrive cloud icon in the system tray (located in the taskbar, next to the clock at the bottom right) on your Windows computer, and select Settings from the menu.
  6. In the Microsoft OneDrive dialog box, select Add an account and then log in with your Microsoft 365 email address and password (first name.surname@ltu.se and your LTU password)
  7. Follow the instructions in the installation wizard, and then select Open My OneDrive Folder .
  8. Open the ZIP file on your desktop that you just downloaded from Google Drive, select all the files and drag them to your OneDrive folder.
  9. When you are done with the above. Select and delete all your information in your Google Drive that you have now moved. If you do not clear the information from Google Drive, you will receive an automatic copy of your information.
