Rules for using software

Published: 7 July 2016

The university has agreements with various software vendors and provides software that you can use for work.

Software products purchased for the university operate under academic licenses, which means that the software may be used only for non-profit education and research purposes.

As an end user, you are responsible that the software vendors' licensing terms are respected and enforced.
Most software may be used only in university-owned computers. In cases where the vendor allows you to use the software in your personal computer, it should be done in the context of study or work for the university.

IT-service is the unit appointed to manage and administer general/central software products at LTU.
