E-mail scams, phising, spam

If you have received an e-mail which you believe is an attempt at fraud, you can report the problem by sending an email to the IT with the suspicious message attached. By doing so, you will help in preventing hacking and identity theft.

Conditions

  1. Be careful with mail from unknown senders
  2. Be careful about attachments and links in E-mail, even from people you are familiar with
  3. If you receive a suspected scam, phishing, spam or fraud via email, follow the instructions below

Instruction

Forward an email as an attachment in the Outlook client

  1. Select the message you want to report, but don't open it
  2. Then click More in the Home tab in the menu bar at the top of Outlook.
  3. Select Forward as attachment
  4. Enter the e-mail address irt@ltu.se as the recipient of the address.
  5. Click Submit . Now a case is created for the Service Desk.
