Teams gather everything in a shared workspace so you can work wherever you want, chat, create meetings, collaborate on files and work with your favorite apps.

What is Teams?

Microsoft Teams is a platform for collaboration in Office 365. You can share documents and communicate via chat, video meetings, etc.

Teams is available for all employees and students. You can use Teams in your web browser or with an app on your computer or smartphone. Links are further down on the page.

Create a team

1. Select Join or create a team
2. Select Create team to create a new team.
3. Choose the team type you want to create. Other is suitable for all kinds of collaborations and projects. You can find more info about the types further down.

Note! All teams are automatically set to Private after one day. In private teams the owner decides who is invited. A Public team can be seen and joined by all of LTU.

If you want your team to be Public, create your team and set it to be Public. Create a service request in our case management system or contact Service Point that you wish to keep it public.

2. Select Manage Team
3. Under Members in the Role column, you can make members intoto owners and vice versa.

Apps in Teams

Teams contains many integrated apps that you can use in collaboration with others. Some are Microsoft's own apps, but many are third-party apps and owned by other providers.
When using apps keep in mind that information can be stored with the provider. Apps are continuously renewed and LTU does not have support for these.
