Access to the library from home

Published: 20 April 2020

Even if you are not at the university, you have access to e-resources, such as e-books and articles. To access the resources, use your LTU user.

E-books

You can search e-books in the Library Search Tool in the tab Books and e-books.
To access an e-book, use your LTU user.
Depending on which platform the book is on, they are used in different ways.

Articles

You can search for articles in the Library Search Tool in the tab Articles.
To read the articles in full text, you usually need to log in with your LTU user.

Article access can look different:
Direct link to the article - PDF, HTML or Open Access
Get It @ LTU - our link server searches for the article again. Often the full text is found but sometimes it needs to be ordered.
The Request It @ LTU article must be ordered and a fee will be added

Below you see the explanation of the symbols in the hit list.

Databases

You can find all the databases in our database list.
Databases with a green key symbol are free but with the ones with a yellow key symbol you need to log in with your LTU user.

Subject Guides are also available. Here you click on your specific topic and find databases that relate to that topic, but also other resources, such as links to free material.
