International students receive scholarships
Luleå University of Technology has awarded a scholarship to nine international students. The scholarship is aimed at students who will start their second year on any of the university's international master's programs.
Nine international students at Luleå University of Technology have been awarded a scholarship for the autumn term of 2020. These are students in five different master's programs: International Business, Information Security, Earth Science, Ore Geology and Environmental Geochemistry, Space Science and Space Engineering, and Road and Aquaculture, and Road and Water Building.
Funding for the scholarship comes from the Education and Higher Education Council (UHR), which has established a scholarship program aimed at specially qualified third-country students, this to strengthen the attractiveness of Swedish universities. Each year, UHR grants funds to universities, which in turn decide which students receive a scholarship. In this case, the scholarship means that the students receive a reduced tuition fee for the autumn term.
