Big Air on Saturday

Three of the winners from last year will participate in LULEÅ BIG AIR this Saturday. Visitors can try activities at campus in Luleå throughout the day.

This is the third time Luleå BIG AIR is arranged at campus in Luleå. The ramp is higher than ever, 22 meters, and has a new location, between Teknikens hus and the Student union building.

Saturday’s main attraction is the elite level competition with alpine skiers and snowboarders from all over the country. Three of last years winners will participate again: Jonas Ruthberg, Micael Lundmark and Ida Sivander.

Free for visitors

Snowboarding legend Ronnie Andersson will also return as a referee.

The event is free for the visitors, who can participate in activities throughout the day. Luleå Big Air is arranged by of four students at Luleå University of Technology, who spends hours and hours on planning and organizing the event. The arrangers are hoping for 6000 visitors at the event on Saturday.
