The Crown Princess Couple's foundation continues to support research

Published: 27 November 2018

The Active School Transportation Project, which will motivate more children to walk or go by bike to school, has received continued funding by the Crown Princess Couple's Foundation. – It is an honour, says Anna-Karin Lindqvist, Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at Luleå University of Technology.

In 2017 Anna-Karin Lindqvist and Stina Rutberg, Senior Lecturer in physiotherapy, received the first grant by the Crown Princess Couple's Foundation. Their research is well in line with the foundation's goal of promoting good health and to strengten community among children and young people. This year, eight new projects reveived funding, and six active projects received continued funding – Active school transportation is one of them.

– This gives us access to the networks and channels that the Crown Princess Couple's Foundation and Generation Pep has created. Today we attend a seminar at the Royal Palace with the theme "Create motivation for children and young people", says Anna-Karin Lindqvist.
