Despite the nice weather, it was more interesting to be indoors this day when 1 600 students visited Luleå University of Technology for the Open House. One day filled with presentations, exhibitions and conversations for the expectant visitors.

Hardly this year's study start has passed when the activities of attracting students to next year's intake have now begun. Open house is an annual event where high school students and students on adult education from Norrbotten and Västerbotten visit Luleå University of Technology for information and inspiration. The positive energy of the student ambassadors could not be missed when they met the students and answered questions about studies and student life.

The lectures involved, among other things, how it is to study at an engineering programme, where different students told their experiences and gave some tips on the way. Also alumni talked about the worklife as an engineer.

Several activities were available such as designing and printing a simple 3D model, driving the students' proprietary air motor vehicle or see flying and off-road robots that can navigate themselves in tough environments.
