Europe's access to space via Esrange - important for security

Due to Russia's attacks on Ukraine, access to space has dropped drastically in Europe. A significant proportion of all Europe's satellite launches previously took place from Russia. Now that Esrange in Kiruna can start launching satellites from December 2022, it will be of enormous importance to Europe - and the importance of space research and education at Luleå University of Technology is increasing.
