Emma Olausson, 23, is studying the third year of industrial economics at Luleå University of Technology and dreams of making environmental differences. She is passionate about sustainable development and hopes to give a positive footprint at her workplace. Now she’s competing for her dream job.
– My most important topic today is sustainable development, just because it is something that affects us all in one way or another and we can all contribute with something. The interest about environmental issues is something that has grown on me during my time here at the university, Emma says.
Filmed in minus 20 degrees
The Union Students Instagram Competition is running between March 3rd and May 1st, 2017, where a jury selects which one of the participants who get to proceed in the competition. All finalists get their movie clips published on the Union Students channel and they will also be called to interviews at the recruitment company Academic Work.
– I think the reason why my film has done so well is probably because it stands out from the rest and I have a pretty positive energy, Emma explains.
Emma doesn't know whom she competes against but she feels confident and believes in herself. Her contribution was sent directly to the final with one of the motivations:
”If you can manage to pitch yourself in minus 20 degrees you obviously have a strong physique but also a hardy mind. It feels like Emma is that kind of person who can accomplish whatever she wants. A person you want on your team, not the opponents”
You can see all the contributions under the hashtag #unionenpitch. The winner will be announced in May.
