It was crowded in the corridors when about 1,600 high school students visited the university´s campus in Luleå. The visitors got a chance to attend lectures and meet students as well as take part in the range of programmes offered by Luleå University of Technology.

The different programmes had displays where students from each program demonstrated flying and off-road robots or chemical processes in both competitions and exhibitions.

"The high school students we welcomed today come from Norrbotten and northern Västerbotten," says Anna Degerman, head of the university's student recruitment since early 2017.

Visitors also got to know everything offered to the students outside of the studies themselves. Here were representatives from Career Center, Outdoor Section, Alpina Section and The Student Housing Service among others.

"New to this year is that we also hosted a VIP meeting where we informed the school student counselors. We had an hour's meeting, which probably have to be extended to two hours next year, " concludes Anna Degerman, who is very pleased with the arrangement.
