Researchers congratulated at academic ceremony

During the year, Luleå University of Technology has gotten 17 new Professors, 73 new Doctors and three Honorary Doctors. The achievements were celebrated traditionally at the University's academic ceremony.

Sheds light on Sweden's northern history

Lilian Ryd is a cultural historian and author and has published books and articles about North Swedish cultural history since the 1980s. Lillian Ryd's authorship revolves around the North-Swedish newbuilding life, women's history and Sami traditional knowledge. During this years academic ceremony she was promoted to honorary doctorate at Luleå University of Technology.

Inspiring lectures by this year's honorary doctors

A writer, a CEO and a business executive. The faculties' choice of honorary doctors for 2018 were Lilian Ryd, Lars Martinsson and Gertrud Åström. Honorary doctors are people who in some way benefited research or education at the university.

Award ceremony for knowledge development and education 2018

During the Luleå University of Technology award ceremony on 8 November, people who, in various ways, promoted knowledge development, education and education at the university in various ways, a celebrated prize awarded each year.
