Trial-course attracted dance enthusiasts

This week, the dance teacher education at Luleå University of Technology was taken over by just over 50 curious visitors from all over the country. The prospective students participated in a two-day trial-course where they got to meet students, teachers and invited guest dancers of the highest quality.

Test courses to strengthen interest in dance

Dance teacher training invited prospective student for a test course earlier this week. During two days, the visitors became acquainted with the premises, teachers and students. Professor Cecilia Björklund-Dahlgren believes that initiatives like this are important to spread the interest in dance teacher education.

University lecturer Cecilia Björklund Dahlgren has been promoted to Professor of Dance Education for Artistic Studies at Luleå University of Technology. The first of its kind in Sweden.

Five million to the music and dance

Framtidsbanken, Sparbanken Nord, are supporting Luleå University of Technology with five million SEK. The money will be used to strengthen research within the artistic area. Framtidsbanken has earlier contributed to the financing of educations within the university.
