Successful cooperation with the University of Texas intensifies

Published: 12 January 2018

Since 2013, LTU Business has conducted a successful collaboration with the University of Texas, focusing on developing methods for commercializing early research results. Now the cooperation is intensifying.

"Cooperation has been an important reason why today we have customers from several of Europe's leading raw materials industry and research institutes," says Pär Johansson, CEO of LTU Business AB, who has visited Austin to discuss the next step.
During the visit, one discussed and focused on two activities to be carried out in spring and summer 2018 - 8 Swedish tech companies will be able to enter the US market in March and six LTU students will be handpicked for a five-week innovation practice in Austin, Delhi and Luleå.
"We have created a roadmap for the next 5 years, where we broaden our cooperation to include industrial research exchanges within the university's areas of space, raw materials and energy. Within these areas, Luleå University of Technology and our region are very attractive to the University of Texas
Several initiatives are planned to be launched in 2018, largely thanks to the Center for European Studies at UT and private donors.
