LTU Business AB develops marketing strategy for Austinsamarbete

Technology companies from Luleå will have it easier to search for venture capital in Austin. LTU Business AB, on behalf of the municipality of Luleå, will establish a marketing strategy for the Austin cooperation. The business development company is granted SEK 110,000 to carry out the work.

– We have been working in Austin since 2013, something that actively contributed to the development of LTU Business to the region's largest business development company focused on strengthening the competitiveness of other companies. Now we get the opportunity to help others find risk capital, said Pär Johansson, Innovation Director at LTU Business AB.

Since 2014, Luleå has an international collaboration with Austin. The reason Austin chose Luleå as a partner is Luleå's collaboration between public and private businesses and the university. The purpose of the cooperation is to generate more meetings, business and collaboration between companies in Luleå and Austin.

– It is pleasing that the Luleå has chosen to hire us as management consultants to create a marketing strategy. Several studies have shown that Austin is the USA's hottest place of entry for both startups and more established companies. We will work with this assignment in close cooperation with both the Arctic Business Incubator, Luleå Business and Luleå Science Park and IC2 from the University of Austin, said Pär Johansson, Innovation Director at LTU Business AB.
