Focus on companies from RISE and LTU Business

At the end of the year the research institutes Innventia, SP and Swedish ICT merged and formed RISE. Now the Institute, Sweden's largest with 2200 employees, focus on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in Norrbotten in cooperation with LTU Business AB.

- Small and medium-sized enterprises play a major role for Swedish industry and it is a stated objective that we as institutions should help them to grow and develop. Small businesses often lack access to scientists, engineers, laboratories and testing required when new products are being developed. RISE offer all this in close cooperation with LTU Business, said Adam Wikström.

Adam Wikström is a business developer at LTU Business AB and responsible for the RISE business offices that now opens in Skellefteå. He is a civil engineer, PhD in solid mechanics and myself have driven companies within the food, technology and transportation. In 2016 he received the award Entrepreneur of the Year in Västerbotten. Adam Wikström's role will now be in place in the regional innovation system and to stitch partnerships that benefit the region's businesses.
