Published: 5 November 2019

The student consultants would help Nordic Quick Systems with a product development assignment. In just nine weeks, they came up with a solution that beat everyone's expectations. Now a prototype of the concept is being developed and a launch in the market is already planned for 2020. LTU Business Summer, as the concept is called, led to Nordic Quick Systems making a big leap towards their goals.

"Important puzzle piece to reach our goals"

Sammy Pergament, sales and marketing manager and co-owner of Nordic Quick Systems, is a product development afficinado. His CV reveals successful launches of new products and startups that attracted investment from Samsung and the owner of H&M. To Sammy, LTU Business Summer exceeded all expectations and made real benefits for his company.

Upcoming product launch

"Thanks to LTU Business Summer, we have accelerated the development of a new product in a way that would have been difficult for us to solve in-house or with the help of traditional consultants. The three student consultants who worked on our case delivered a fantastic result. In just nine weeks, they have dropped 17 ideas into a concept that we are developing prototype for and plan to launch as early as 2020.

"Innovative way to help entrepreneurs"

"Our experience is that with the right tools and support, students can guide, strengthen & accelerate the development of products & services. LTU Business Summer came about because we wanted to package an offer that researchers, companies and students can all participate in", says Sandra Berg, business developer at LTU Business.

“We want to be an innovative company that works differently. LTU Business Summer and the opportunity to collaborate with ambitious, innovative students appealed to us. ”- Sammy Pergament, Nordic Quick Systems

LTU Business Summer lets the student work on a real case. Companies or academics compete to win a student consultant by submitting challenges they want help with, such as developing a new product or developing a packaging and new marketing strategy. During the nine weeks of the program, student consultants are coached by experienced business developers at LTU Business.

Sammy concludes: "The concept that the student consultants have developed has enormous potential for us to shift our position in the market from a mechanical workshop to an innovative, high-tech company that is at the forefront of the industry. We look forward to being able to reveal more soon".
