The course gives the student the knowledge to use advanced methods for the analysis of industrial jobs in order to improve safety, efficiency, methods of work and workplaces from a sustainability perspective, with people's needs and abilities in the center. Students will learn theories and methods of workplace analysis and how they can be used to assess and improve working conditions, organization and production.
What results can you, as a company, expect:
A survey of the work environment and / or organization in some workplaces (and preliminary sketches of measures). Course project is largely on the students to practice a variety of analytical methods, thus not primarily solve the problems in the workplace.
Guidelines for the cooperation:
Teachers and undertakings agree workplaces students to analyze. It may well be workshops where the company knows or believes that it is the work environment or work problems. Teachers supervise students, but students may need to consult the employees and production responsible for the workplace to be able to make a good analysis of it.
What is required of you as a company:
It is expected that students will have access to some jobs that students in groups analyze baseline (visit several times, photographing, observing, interviewing employees, etc.) at any visit (it can be a full day and a few half-days, sometimes shorter visits). At the first visit, we usually get a briefing on the company's production and a tour of the entire production and focusing on the workplace where students do their job. Running throughout the course, students need to have someone to ask - both on practical things and they work as they analyze. The students make a presentation of the results at the end of the course. Then it is good if representatives from the company's or the accounts can be made in the company.
