Idéacceleratorn 2016

Impact Lab Summer

Published: 26 February 2015

Impact Lab is a fun and developing idea development program for those who want to make a lasting difference with your driving forces and ideas.

In the program you will experience your own idea journey from start to finish, where the goal is to know how your idea can become a reality. You will have the opportunity to work with others in the same situation as you with the help of experienced business developers as support.

Who can participate?

All students at Luleå University of Technology can apply for the Idea Accelerator. Because we want a diversity among the participants, it doesn't matter which program you are studying or which year you are studying. You can search alone or with others. The program is implemented on site in Luleå.

What do I get out of it?

All participants go through an idea development program that will lead to the idea being tested against the customer and the market, so that you can decide to invest in the idea, redo it or put it down. You can also invoice a sum for the participation that you can live on during the summer. The amount varies depending on how many you are around the idea.

Number of places and compensation
It is not predetermined how many teams will be admitted to the program. As the participants will receive remuneration that roughly corresponds to study aid, the number of participants is limited.

Access to expertise and financing of your development
Throughout the summer, your team will have access to experienced business advisors from LTU Business AB and other players in the region. LTU Business also finances the measures you need to get on in each part.

At the end of the summer, the participants show up what they have achieved for each other and others interested in the region. It can be financiers of any kind or decision maker that you need to meet to get on after the summer.

How do I apply for a place in Impact Lab?

The application is made via the web form above where you answer a number of questions. Last March, you will know if you have come in or not.

Then you increase your chances

  1. Book a meeting with the business developer Johan Bergström!
He answers questions about Impact Lab and is happy to talk to you about your idea before submitting your application.

Admission criteria are

  1. Feasibility
Are your / your goals realistic to reach during the summer?
  2. Effect
What effect will this have if implemented?
  3. rethinking
It must not be anything new, but it must add something new.

When does the program begin and end?

The program consists of 9 weeks of full-time work and runs between 10 / 6-23 / 8. Weeks 28-29 are "vacant".
