Human Work Science is a research field that includes analysis, design and development of products, production systems and work organization based on people's physiological, psychological, social and cultural conditions.
Human Work Sciences at Luleå was founded in 1974 and has approximately 50 employees engaged in research and education in both technical and social science sector. The research is problem-oriented and conducted in close cooperation with stakeholders in the community.
The division is organized into four subject areas:
Gender and Technology, Industrial Production Environment, Engineering Psychology and Philosophy.
