Roine Viklund, Senior Lecturer in History, has been elected to the Electoral Assembly of the Swedish Research Council and is a member of the nomination committee for the Scientific Council for Humanities and Social Sciences.

Congratulations Roine! How does it feel?

– It feels fun! I was elected along with six others in competition with 17 proposed candidates.

What were your merits?

– I have a good insight into my own research area and have worked interdisciplinary. In addition, I have a large network of contacts at many universities after my years in Humtank and the National Academy of Sciences's National Committee for Engineering and Science History.

What does the mission mean?

– I will be involved in presenting a proposal for new members to the Swedish Research Councils' Council for Humanities and Social Sciences.
