MobFysLab 1

Human Health and Mobile Integrative Physiology Lab

The new mobile integrative physiology laboratory has equipment for biochemical analyzes, hormone analyzes, various physiological tests of circulatory and respiratory organs, as well as weather and climate.

The equipment, which is also transportable, examines, among other things, how individuals' performance and recovery are affected by environmental factors, in a context that consists of the Arctic area with snow, ice and cold and seasonal changes.

Main responsible for the mobile physiology laboratory is Agneta Larsson and Anitha Risberg.

The lab is organizationally located as a lab under the Department of Health Sciences

Laboratory and equipment

The lab includes advanced ergometer bikes, arm bikes and treadmills that can be connected to an ECG device as well as blood pressure and equipment to test respiration.

Projects under start-up

We study the impact of different seasons on the individual to gain increased knowledge about various biochemical parameters and physiological and psychological factors and relate this to stress, performance and recovery in men and women of all ages.
