Nobla dagen went digital

Published: 11 December 2020

Traditionally, the Nobla dagen has been held at the Department of Health Sciences. It was carried out digitally, due to the ongoing pandemic. The day was about the new Department of Health, Education and Technology.
– It was a very interesting day. We gained insight into each other's educational programs and research, says Eva Alerby, professor of pedagogy.

Nobla dagen is an important day for everyone in the Department, which was held for the fourth year in a row.
In normal cases, the event takes place in a lecture hall at Luleå University of Technology and ends with a dinner. Now the day was held digitally instead and no dinner was possible due to the spread of covid-19.

This time, Nobla dagen was marked by change. From 1 January 2021, the new Department will start.
In total, the program contained 30 speakers and the day ended with workshops in small groups.

Large range

During the morning, the research that will be gathered on health, learning and technology, HLT, was presented. In the afternoon, the educations were presented at basic and advanced level.
Research representatives and teachers gave presentations of ten minutes each.

The range is large, but stays in the areas of health and learning. Within research, there are several projects that focus on technical areas, such as medical technology and technical psychology.
– It has been inspiring and it feels like a good introduction before the new Department starts in January, says Tommy Calner, Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy.
