New start for Health Sciences in fresh premises

– We have developed the premises one more step. Now they are even better adapted to teaching, says Peter Michaelson, Head Faculty Programme Director, Luleå University of Technology.

The new teaching space will be in a new pavilion in the university area. In the method rooms, which are used for practical exercises, there are equipment specially adapted for each training. 

It is for the programs for nursing, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist and health counselor.
– We have been given the opportunity to further develop and adapt our method rooms to create the best possible conditions for teaching. So that it fits in with the different occupational categories, says Peter Michaelson, Head faculty Programme Diector at the Department of Health Sciences.

The Activity Lab, a training apartment with advanced technical equipment, which is used for both research and teaching, is also moving to the new premises.
– Many people are looking for our education, we have popular programs. If you look at the employment services' forecasts, we educate largely only on professions where there is great demand in the labor market. We alos have good connections with Region Norrbotten and the municipalities, Peter Michaelson says.

New studie places

Other news regarding premises is that this autumn the newly renovated library with new study sites has been opened. The Student´s House is already opened, also there are new places for students who want to study on campus even outside of class.
