Postgraduate education
The Department of Health, Education and Technology has four graduate schools. In addition, we are affiliated with a national graduate school.
Academy of Health of the Future
The purpose of the Academy for the Future of Health is to strengthen the quality of the department's postgraduate education through a larger coherent postgraduate education environment that is common to all doctoral students in the health field.
The Graduate school Practice-based Educational Research
The Graduate school Practice-based Educational Research (PROFS) conducts research that contributes to the development of knowledge in connection with school/preschools and teacher education. All doctoral students in PROFS have research projects on practical issues based on the mission of the school/preschool, the activities of teacher education or the school system as a whole. The research is conducted in close collaboration with the region and municipalities.
The graduate school Personcentred and Integrated Care
The graduate school Personcentred and Integrated Care is a collaboration between Luleå University of Technology and Region Norrbotten. Personcentred and Integrated Care is a reform of Swedish healthcare that involves a new way of working based on the individual's needs and conditions. Eight doctoral students explore issues that become pieces of the puzzle in the solution to today's challenges and future care.
The graduate school for Precision Health
Sweden's first graduate school in precision health. The graduate school is a part of the future area PRECISE – Innovative Precision Health. The projects cover all three levels of precision health; at the molecular level, developing more accurate analysis tools, more precise digital interventions for the individual and more precise guidelines for how health-promoting communities. All projects are interdisciplinary and all departments at Luleå University of Technology are represented.
